THE PACO CATHOLIC SCHOOL - INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA CENTER

Paco Catholic School's Instructional Media Center is a school library established in 1912. It is located on 1521 Paz Street, Paco 1007 Manila National Capital Region. It is my first institution in this internship journey.  It is where I learned a lot, especially the management, services, and activities pertaining to a school library. I did truly enjoy my four weeks as I had the opportunity to work with amazing people, do a library instruction program, perform library tasks and story-telling, and execute a Valentine's Day

THE ENVIRONMENT IN PCS-IMC

Honestly, before I started to work in PCS-IMC, I was so scared that I might get asked to cut my hair. As an LGBTQIA+ member whose hair is part of one's expression, I had overthought this matter since they are a Catholic School, and I understand if they require me that, like what happened with a senior before. Fortunately, they are very welcoming and somehow inclusive. I learned to tone down my behavior and my make-up. My supervisor and the librarians here are very open, even the guidance counselors and faculty.

READ MY REFLECTION!

As my first institution, PCS-IMC has been a training ground where I can say that I am safe to admit that I have learned a lot, especially on how a school library functions. I encountered challenges, opportunities, and worthwhile experiences throughout this journey! To know more, read my reflections!
